Sarah joined DIEM analytics Ltd in 2017 after a decade-long career with the UK Ministry of Defence, where she worked as an Operational Analyst at Dstl and the Maritime Warfare Centre (MWC), supporting projects such as the WAVE class procurement. She later became a Science Advisor at Navy Command Headquarters advising on, and integrating, research into military operations.

At DIEM, Sarah has led innovation projects including the award-winning DUCHESS AI interviewer, now in use with the Royal Navy, NATO, and the Royal Canadian Airforce. DUCHESS reached the top 3 in the 2021 ‘AI Innovation of the Year’ competition run by Digital Leaders. She has also developed the MAD HATAS and elements of the SYCOIEA decision aids, funded by Dstl, and has extensive experience in Agile software development, certified as both a Scrum Master and Product Owner.

Sarah holds a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and continues to lead DIEM’s work in AI, NLP, and cloud-based projects for both military and commercial clients
